M.Sc. Environmental Geoscience & Geomatics | UAV Systems · Geospatial Intelligence · Defense · Protecting our democracies With a master’s in Environmental Geoscience and Geomatics and a foundation in geodesy, remote sensing, and UAV aerial surveying, I work at the intersection of geospatial technology and defense applications — a field where technical precision and operational context are equally critical. Several years in executive leadership as CTO — managing international teams, driving technical strategy, and delivering complex projects across multiple countries — added a dimension that continues to shape how I approach technical work. Understanding both the engineering and the organizational reality around it has proven to be as valuable as the technical expertise itself. Currently based in Germany and working with UAV systems in a defense context, my technical focus spans flight systems, multispectral and thermal imaging, geospatial data pipelines, and deep learning applications. EASA certified, with field and leadership experience across Germany, Norway, and the US.

I am pleased to announce I have started a new role as Field Engineer at Helsing, where I will be working at the intersection of drone field work and machine learning. It's been quite a journey already - from getting up to speed through onboarding to meeting my new colleagues, who are doing fascinating work in AI for defense and security. I really believe in Helsing's core mission of developing AI to protect democratic values and I look forward to contributing alongside this talented team and being part of Helsing's important mission ahead!
I’m happy to share that I’ve completed my Master of Science - MS at University of Oslo (UiO)!
I just returned from an incredible research trip to the northern coast of Svalbard, as part of the LITTER GATE project, which focuses on innovating plastic litter detection using drone-based multispectral imaging. Contributing to this important work in such a remote environment was a unique experience, as was taking part in the beach cleanup, making the trip even more rewarding.
I am excited to have joined the ONS conference in Stavanger! It was a great opportunity to learn about the latest challenges and developments in renewable energy from an industry perspective and to connect with companies for future opportunities. I highly recommend this conference to anyone interested in the energy sector. Special thanks to the teams at Equinor and Statkraft for their hospitality and detailed insights into their graduate and training programs.
